New notification settings in the Family Hub now provide student family members with greater control over how they receive updates. These updates enhance accessibility and convenience, ensuring that important information is delivered efficiently. IT Services listened and recently released new functionality to enable just that.
Family Hub account holders can log in at home.family.northeastern.edu to explore these features. Those without an account can request a Family/Other account to gain access.
Community members with Family Hub accounts can log in at home.family.northeastern.edu, or request a Family/Other account, to start using the new features.
How to view notifications
- Once logged in, select Notifications in the upper-right corner to review recent alerts and expand notification history.
- Click on a notification title to open the associated message.

How manage notifications
- Click the arrow next to your name in the upper right corner then select Account Settings.
- From there, you can choose whether to receive email notifications when you have a Family Hub notification. If you do opt-in to receive emails, they’ll be sent to you from noreply@northeastern.edu. You can also select whether you wish to receive correspondence from Northeastern.
- Remember to click save.


Note, if updates don’t appear immediately, clearing the web browser’s cache may resolve the issue.
